About school
The school of military pilots of the "Lastivka" unit has existed since 2023. During its existence, servicemen from the military units of the National Guard of Ukraine, colleagues from the SBU units, employees of the National Police of Ukraine, and also soldiers and officers from the military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have undergone training and successfully passed exams.
During their studies, students of the school are provided with a place to stay and food on the basis of the school. For training, we provide modern drones, control panels, glasses, antennas, laptops and tablets. After successful completion of the test, we issue a certificate of completion of training at the Flight School of the Air Force Base "Lastivka".
Procedure of training
The first stage of training includes theoretical training — familiarization with the tactical and technical characteristics of UAVs, reconnaissance quadcopters and FPV drones, a theoretical study of the operating procedure and the first steps necessary to fly the above-mentioned UAVs. During this stage, we watch the students' ability to learn and the perception of the received information.
The second stage of training is the practical actions of the training staff using the LIFTOFF simulator (which simulates the flight of an FPV attack drone), practical flights of the trainees during several training days, and also the implementation of flights on civilian-type quadcopters at the flight range.
After completing two stages of study, students take two exams. The first exam is theoretical, on the assimilation and study of the material. The second exam is practical, with students' ability to make experimental flights independently under different circumstances and conditions.
